I stumbled across a discussion forming on Facebook and it struck a cord with in me. “I wish I hired you guys for our wedding photography, because our pictures are terrible.”
I am amazed by how many people have emailed Chase + I about this topic. It breaks my heart. I hurt for them. But sadly we can’t chance their circumstances. We can only continue to try to let all of you know how important it is to invest in whoever you have document your day. I liked it best when a respected photographer, Scarlett Lillian posted about this same topic and summed it up beautifully! You can read it here.
I just want to encourage you to go for it. Get the professionals who know what they are doing. Hire for who you love and whose work you follow, not just for a price tag. Weather it is us or someone just as fabulous, do it because you LOVE their work!
Because when the day is done, the honeymoon is over and the cake has been eaten, all you have left are the memories that your photographer has captured. Those are what will be passed down to your grandchildren and become the heirlooms you and your family treasure. In the end those memories are what really counts!
